It is with great delight we introduce to our two wonderful choral scholars joining our Sanctuary choir this school year, Kyle Coleman and Olena Withrow .
Kyle Coleman is a French hornist from Beaufort, North Carolina. He is in his second year at UNCSA pursuing his bachelor’s degree in music performance. Kyle sings in the tenor section of our choir, and likes to use his creativity and musicianship as a way to lead and inspire others.
No stranger to our church, Olena Withrow will return for a 2nd year as our Alto Choral Scholar. Active in school and church choirs for longer than she can remember, and with a music teacher for a grandmother, music has always played a steadfast and influential role in Olena’s life. While pursuing her BA in Christian Formation and Ministry with a Minor in Music Theatre from Friends University, Olena sang with the Singing Quakers, appeared in numerous musicals and operas, and served as Alto Section Lead her senior year. Olena is currently in her third and final year of study in the MDiv program at Wake Forest University School of Divinity.
