With a spirit of community and adventure, the Older Adults of First on Fifth embody the very best of our congregation’s commitment to belonging! These friends of retirement age and older gather regularly to learn and fellowship together. Monthly fellowship opportunities on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and weekly Zoom calls on Thursdays at 10:00am anchor the regular gatherings for our older adults. You’ll find them lunching and singing hymns in the park, enjoying seafood at a local diner, taking seasonal day-trips, and sponsoring pick-ups of regional peaches in the summer and apples in the fall.

In the larger life of our church, our older adults ground any intergenerational gathering with story and care. One of the best expressions of our church’s love of relationship-building across the ages comes with our Prayer Partner Ministry, pairing each elementary schooler with a senior for the purpose of building connections and deepening mutual love for God and each other.

All our weekly Sunday or weekday classes are open to adults of all ages.
