“It was amazing!” “There were so many people!” “There was so much food!” “I hope we do this again every year!” My ears were filled with all kinds of joy-filled conversations about our Thanksgiving Potluck last year upon my return from Virginia where I had traveled to help my best friend with her 3-week-old baby (and her other three kiddos all under the age of 6 at the time!) The excitement was palpable when you all shared stories of that sacred time together in Kelly Auditorium. This year, I am excited that Karen and I will be able to attend and witness the high and holy moments of gathering with each of you and giving thanks. We are already talking about what kind of side dish we plan to bring to place next to yours. Have you decided what you will bring?? The church is providing the meat and drinks – you bring the rest!
We will have space in our time together for music, prayer, and testimonies. I also hear we will have some awesome church members who will be selling homemade items, tables for you to purchase First on Fifth items, and two of our mission partners. PLUS, there is a great opportunity for you to go ahead and get your church directory picture made!!! You will not need an appointment to get your picture made – simply show up between 4:30-5:15 in the church office where Olena and I will be set up and ready for you. If Sunday doesn’t work for you to get your picture made, no worries. We will be set up every Sunday in December before Sunday school and after worship.
