There is something sacred about gathering around a table. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus is often found sharing meals with others — friends, strangers, disciples, doubters, and even those who challenged him. Around those tables, walls came down, stories were shared, and community was formed. Those meals became places of welcome, grace, laughter, and belonging.
This summer, our Fellowship Ministry Team invites you to pull up a chair and join a Summer Supper Club! These casual gatherings are a chance to share a meal, enjoy conversation, and build deeper connections within our church family. Each group will be randomly assigned, which means you may find yourself around the table with people you know well, people you’ve only met in passing, or perhaps people you haven’t met before. That is part of the gift.
In a world that can easily feel hurried and disconnected, taking time to sit together and truly enjoy one another’s company is a meaningful act. Summer Supper Clubs are not about hosting the perfect meal or impressing anyone. They are simply an opportunity to slow down, share life together, and make space for new friendships to grow. The Fellowship Ministry Team hopes each group will meet at least once a month in June, July & August. Each group will decide how they would like to gather – perhaps you want to try a new restaurant in town each month or maybe your group likes the idea of sharing homemade desserts – there is no wrong way to spend time together!
We hope you will embrace the surprise and joy of your assigned group and come with an open heart and appetite for connection. You never know what meaningful conversations, unexpected laughter, or lasting relationships might begin around the table this summer. Be sure to sign up here by May 18 to be a part of the experience!
