Gracious and Loving God,

We come to you this morning knowing that you hear us, you see us fully for who we are,  and you love us through every moment of every day.

God, we know that you can take something ordinary and turn it into something  extraordinary. This morning, let us be reminded that while there are moments in our lives that  seem ordinary, you are at work doing extraordinary things beyond what we can even imagine.  You turned water into wine, scarcity into plenty, and hesitation into celebration. As we bring  before you the needs of the world, we trust in your power to bring new life where it is most  needed.

Where lives are parched by injustice, bring the refreshing waters of equity and  compassion. We pray for those who live in poverty, who lack the resources they need to  flourish, and for those who work tirelessly for systemic change. Thank you for the courage of  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and for the ways his life and legacy push us to boldly march forward  for justice. Pour out your spirit of generosity and courage upon us, that we might act as your  hands and feet in this world.

Where communities are fragmented and divided, bring unity and mutual understanding.  We pray for those working toward reconciliation: between neighbors, between nations, and  within families. Teach us to embrace diversity as a gift and to create spaces where all voices can  be heard and valued.

Just as your son Jesus brought joy to the wedding feast, bring joy and renewal to all who  are weary, hopeless, or suffering. We lift up those who feel forgotten or alone, those longing for  purpose, those burdened by grief, those who are feeling the pain and voids that come with the  loss of a loved one, even in this very hour. May we, as your people, share your joy freely,  offering companionship, kindness, presence, love, and affirmation to those who need it most.

We also pray for those who, like the servants at the wedding feast, work quietly behind  the scenes. Strengthen those who serve in hospitals, schools, shelters, and organizations here in  our city. Remind them that their faithful acts, however small, contribute to the beautiful picture  of your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven and shows your love at work in the world.

May we your church continue to welcome all to the table without conditions or limits.  Let us set aside our fears and doubts, stepping into bold faith and extravagant hospitality,  trusting in your promises.

We pray this in the name of Jesus, the one who transforms lives and who taught us to  pray saying….Our Father…..
