John 6 gives us a steady diet of Jesus talking about bread. From the food fed unexpectedly to thousands to the “bread of life” Jesus claims to be, this August we have a feast to consider in worship. Paired with the meaningful conversations about sustainability we’ll have in churchwide Sunday School, “Soul Food” will guide our worship over these weeks. We gather together around the literal and proverbial table as we dine with the One in whom all might never hunger again.
