Ministry to Senior Adults
The Senior Adults of First Baptist Church on Fifth have many opportunities for spiritual, emotional and social growth. We offer quarterly luncheons, a yearly picnic, and a special Christmas trip, in addition to trips of one to eight days’ length throughout the year. Summer usually brings the opportunity for a weekly lunch and learn program with topics of particular interest to older adults. We encourage intergenerational activities and work with our youth and children’s ministries to try to coordinate activities of interest to all ages and stages. Bible Study Classes are available for senior adults who want to be with those of a similar age, including women’s classes, men’s classes and couple or co-ed classes. Or if you prefer you are welcome to join one of our several intergenerational classes.
