FIRST ON FIFTH PARTNERING WITH NEIGHBOR CHURCHES TO PROVIDE HURRICANE RELIEF
Our neighbors across the street, Centenary United Methodist, have organized and issued a call for a supply drive to offer relief to those affected by Hurricane Florence in our region. They will collect these items and distribute them to partner ministries in eastern North Carolina. You can bring the requested items to First Baptist on Fifth and put them in the designated bins in the first floor hallway. We will accept donations until October 8 at noon. The following items are requested:
· Bottled Water – all size containers
· Toilet Paper & paper towels
· Cleaning gloves
· Spray cleaners & bleach
· Trash bags
· Diapers & wipes
· Feminine Supplies
· Washcloths/Towels
· Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, shampoo, soap, etc.)
We continue to work with our ministry partner CBFNC to address needs presented by Hurricane Florence.
Please give to the CBFNC Disaster Response Fund. One hundred percent of the funds collected will be used to address local needs identified by CBFNC partner churches.  Click here to donate
There has also been a need identified for Walmart gift cards, in smaller dollar amounts.  Those may be left in the blue box in the Church Office that is designated for “Hurricane Relief.”

Right now, our mission partners, Baptists on Mission (NCBM), who specialize in disaster response, have set up operations in several locations. They have the infrastructure to help those in need. They need volunteers. Please visit their website for updates and opportunities : https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Hurricane-Florence
