In Sunday’s Called Church Conference to hear the recommendation from the Special Committee regarding Phase One of our building project, the congregation voted to proceed with the substantial first phase of our work. The motion passed overwhelmingly with 90% of voting members in favor of the recommendation.
Phase One will begin this summer, and plans are already underway to finalize our move out of these buildings in preparation for their removal. The church will gather on May 20 at 9:00am for a special time of worship to celebrate all the ministry contained within. A churchwide dinner and sale of items within the building will take place on Wednesday night, May 23. The Deacon subgroup continues their tireless work to cull through all the items in the buildings, and our House & Grounds Committee is overseeing related preparations for a public sale of these items in June and relocation of various spaces into Building A.
