This week around the church house…
- The temporary boiler is on site, set up, and inspected, and Piedmont Natural Gas has installed the gas line we’ll need to power it. We anticipate that the installation of the gas meter will come soon — perhaps this week! Thanks also to John and Steve for ensuring that we remain safe coming in and out of the building around the temporary boiler! Lights that illumine the two breezeway doors are now positioned for our coming and going in the dark.
- You may have noticed that the truckloads of dirt coming into the back part of our lot have slowed, which is due to the amount of rain we’ve had recently! In order to backfill with dirt in a way that preserves the integrity of the land and pack it in as it is intended, we must go several days without rain to allow the mud to dry. Let’s hope for sunnier weather soon!
Our three new bathrooms (two in the narthex, and one in the 2nd floor hallway) have walls now! Drywall, insulation, and ceiling tiles were installed this week.
Thanks for your patience and flexibility in this season of transition!
