This week around the church house…
Terra cotta work on the tower has been completed! Due to some rainy weather this week, the scaffolding deconstruction was moved back a week and is set to come down starting Monday, October 28.
Door installation continued this week, with all five new doors in place and in process of being wired to our electronic keypad entry system over the next few days. After that wiring is fully finished, the interior trim of each door will be installed and the door installation complete.
Plaster work on the music suite ceiling has been underway the past several days, where crews have torn out the part of the plaster ceiling that had detached from the ceiling structure as of late. Starting tomorrow, new drywall should be hung in place of the damaged plaster. Once that drywall is installed, mudded, dry, and sanded, painters will come in to paint and complete.
Masons continue on the brick work on the backside of the building, patching in the open places where the Buildings B & C bridges once stood.
And finally, as the project begins to wind down, please mark your calendars for Sunday, November 24, where we will celebrate the end of our building project with a morning of fellowship and thanksgiving! We’ll gather for a pot-luck breakfast that morning during the Bible Study hour, mark the occasion in worship, and offer our dedication to the new ramp and prayer room. Read more about this in the eBlast over the next few weeks, and make your plans now to gather with your church family that morning!
Thanks for your patience in this season of transition!
