Parking
Parking available in the following locations on or around our block:
- The back gravel parking lot between the church house and 6th Street. There are several paved handicapped-accessible spots closest to the building.
- The Winston-Salem Journal parking lot and adjacent gravel lot at the corner of 5th and Spruce. You will need a parking permit provided by the church to park here, attendants will be stationed at the lot with passes on Saturday, March 26 for this event.
- The parking lot of the John 3:16 building at the corner of 6th and Poplar
- Street parking at meters on 5th Street and Spruce Streets
- Street parking on Poplar Street
Within a block or two of the church are several parking garages and other surface lot options should you need them. If you do not experience mobility challenges and have the capacity to park farther away so as to reserve closer spots for those who need them, we encourage you to do so.

Memorials
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to two funds established to honor Daniel’s memory. One is the Daniel Hudgins Memorial Scholarship Fund at Triad Academy at Summit School, which specializes in helping children with dyslexia gain the skills they need to reach their full academic potential. Daniel’s experience as a student at Triad Academy at Summit School changed his life and paved the way for his future academic successes. Contributions may be made to Triad Academy at Summit School, with Daniel Hudgins Memorial Scholarship Fund in the memo line, at 2100 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
The Daniel Hudgins Memorial Award in the Helping Professions at Mars Hill University will honor Daniel’s commitment to serving others and will be awarded to outstanding students graduating with a degree in the helping professions. Contributions may be made to Mars Hill University, with Daniel Hudgins Memorial Award in the Helping Professions in the memo line, at the Mars Hill University Office of Advancement, PO Box 6792, Mars Hill, NC 28754.
