It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” don’t you know? That’s what we hear, at least. And yet how often we find ourselves in the Christmas season overrun with grief, overstuffed with purchases, overextended with commitments, and overwhelmed with hardships. This year during Advent at First on Fifth, we’re reclaiming holy wonder within the season: the hope, peace, joy, and love that return us again and again to the mystery of God-with-us. May this wonder-full Advent encircle us with awe, enliven us with beauty, and encourage us with imagination!
